JOHN LLOYD CRUZ in TV comeback via GMA Network and in the movies also soon
John Lloyd Cruz is officially returning to the big screen.
But – hold your breath – not with fellow GMA Network talent and former co-star in several movies Bea Alonzo but with Jasmine Curtis-Smith!
According to Aubrey Carampel’s “24 Oras” report as reported on GMA News, Jasmine said in a press conference that their film was expected to come in the “next coming months.”
According to the report, John Lloyd revealed that the Kapuso actress was his personal choice for his leading lady because he was impressed by her versatility when she guested on his sitcom “Happy ToGetHer.”
“’Yung role na ginawa niya nung pilot episode namin, I think mahirap ’yon. Hindi lahat yata magagawa ’yon. Ang galing na nakita ko ’yon. Kaya niyang mag-transition from seryosong materyal to a sitcom,” he said.
Jasmine said she was grateful to John Lloyd for seeing her talent. She is also looking forward to exploring more of what she can do with their upcoming project.
“In my first 10 years, puro drama. ’Yon talaga yung na-highlight sa’kin pero gusto ko naman mapakita yung range ko na kahit anong genre, kayang pasukin,” she said.
It was followed by the premiere of his sitcom “Happy ToGetHer,” which airs every Sunday, GMA News reported.
Last year, Jasmine was joyful after getting a chance to work with the one and only John Lloyd Cruz.
The Kapuso actress made a guest appearance on the first episode of John Lloyd’s new sitcom “Happy ToGetHer.”
Jasmine then posted a picture with the actor from set along with a short thank-you message for the actor who’s also producer on the show.
“Always grateful for every work I get specially when its a chance to work with our industry’s greatest,” Jasmine began.
“Salamat John Lloy for a great time on set and also to the cast of Happy ToGetHer for showing me what its like to work on a sitcom!” she added, tagging the actor and the show’s IG accounts.
Jasmine also shared a photo with the cast and crew, as well as a gorgeous shot of her looking happy in hair and makeup.
“I know its not my forte to do comedy but what a fun and enjoyable experience to guest on your first ep!” she wrote.
“Happy ToGetHer” premiered on GMA Network last December 26, bringing joy and laughter to Kapuso audiences a day after Christmas.
