‘Easter Sunday’ screening hosted by Rick Caruso pays homage to Filipino-American community

LOS ANGELES, California — Rick Caruso hosted an event to celebrate and bring together the Filipino community from across Los Angeles for an Easter Sunday screening with comedian Jo Koy and Dan Lin, the film’s producer. 
 
The significance of this event cannot be understated, said Caruso in a statement. “This is the first film in Hollywood history that boasts an all-Filipino cast and highlights the Filipino-American experience.”
Rick Caruso acknowledged the impact that representation and visibility can have on communities that have traditionally been left out of the conversation. 
 
Rick Caruso said he is honored to have hosted thes event and was moved by the outpouring of support that was witnessed.  
 
The Filipino community has made immeasurable contributions to the city, and Los Angeles would not be the same without them, he added. 
Rick Caruso has been a champion of small businesses, as they are the backbone of our communities.

Rick offered his sincerest congratulations to Dan Lin and Jo Koy on this historic achievement.
