Filipino American actress Liza Soberano has been rumored to be pregnant again.

The rumor was triggered by her photo with actor fiancé Enrique Gil while vacationing in California which reportedly showed her bump.

The Sta. Clara, California-born Liza, 24, whose full name Hope Elizabeth Soberano, joined her family in the United States for the holidays along with her boyfriend and brother.

Liza’s father was John Castillo Soberano, a Filipino from Pangasinan, while her mother, Jacqulyn Elizabeth Hanley, was American. Liza was raised by her paternal grandparents when her parents separated.

Earlier, Liza reported she had to rush to California to be with her grandmother Bobbie who was ill, saying it was her grandmother who took care of her while she was growing up in US.

In the actress’ recent Instagram update, she showed her with Enrique and her siblings enjoying the cold weather with the simple caption: “Christmas 2021.”

“She was one of the people who raised me back when I was in America and I wouldn’t miss being with her during tough times for the world,” she was quoted by ABS-CBN as saying.

Liza’s talent manager Ogie Diaz immediately flatly denied the rumors that Liza is pregnant. The denial was reported by her mother studio ABS-CBN and was also carried by other media.

“Maraming nagtanong sa akin niyan dahil lumabas nga at nag-viral din ito. Aaminin ko na po na si Liza Soberano sa isyung buntis ay hindi po totoo,” Ogie said in the report.

Ogie stressed that the actress was just bending her body a bit in the photo which went viral, making her tummy look big.

“Alam mo minsan lumiyad lang ng ganoon ang tiyan buntis na,” Ogie said.

“Si Liza po ay hindi po buntis pero magkasama sila ni Quen (Enrique) sa US, kasama si Justin, ang brother ni Liza. Dinalaw nila at dinamayan ‘yung lola nila,” Ogie said in the ABS-CBN report.

On speculations that Liza flew to the US to hide her pregnancy from the public, Ogie said: “Hindi ba bongga ang mga Marites, di ba? ‘Yung hindi namin naiisip, naiisip nila ‘yan. Hay naku! Hayaan po natin ano.”

Ogie said he believes there will come a time when Liza and Enrique would decide to have a family but stressed the time is not now.

“Someday, dahil sila naman ni Enrique ay talagang mukhang hindi na mapaghihiwalay ‘yan, hindi ba? Eh darating din tayo diyan. Pero for now, it’s a no,” he said.

Two years ago, Liza and Enrique also spent Christmas in her new house in the United States. In 2018, she also celebrated Christmas in US.
“First Christmas in our new home. Finally have a place to call my own back in the USA. Couldn’t have done it without ABS-CBN and all the brands that have given me their complete trust,” Liza said in an Instagram post in December 2019.

“To all of my LizQuen and Liza supporters out there, thank you for the unconditional love. Last but not least, thank you, Papa God. You have provided a home for me and the people most dearest to my heart. I will forever give you thanks and praise,” she added.

In 2019, Liza was also rumored to be pregnant and she flew to US  allegedly to have abortion. Her manager, Ogie Diaz, also denied the rumors.

What transpired was a finger operation on Liza that year because the finger was broken during the set of the ABS-CBN series “Bagani.”

It was because of the broken finger that Liza dropped out in her supposed leading role as “Darna” in a new movie.

Ogie Diaz also flatly denied the 2019 rumored pregnancy and abortion but admitted the finger operation, adding that he was even present when the operation was made in Los Angeles.

Liza was quoted as saying she misses her family in the Philippines even as she shared that she was still able celebrate Christmas with them virtually.

“Really missing my family back home in the PH. It was supposed to be our first time celebrating in our newly renovated home, but we’re still thankful we get to celebrate together via video call,” she said.

It was not known until when the celebrity couple will stay in America.

The two are set to headline a movie and an ABS-CBN television series in 2022.

Just hours before the airing of this year’s ABS-CBN Christmas Special, Liza  took to social media to tell her followers that she and her boyfriend, actor Enrique Gil, will not be in it as she was to fly to the US to be besides her grandmother.

In a series of tweets, Liza wrote: “Hello everyone! As much as @itsenriquegil and I would’ve loved to be at the ABS-CBN Christmas Special this year, we won’t be able to make it due to unforeseen circumstances.”

“We really wanted to be there for all of you and we were ecstatic to see our Kapamilya whom we missed dearly. Actually we were just at ABS-CBN yesterday recording for tonight’s event,” she added.

Liza asked her fans and followers to include her great grandmother and their family in their prayers.

To end her post, she said: “Thank you so much for understanding. Love you all.”
