NEWSFLASH! Former Manila congresswoman and ex-PMS chief Angping named envoy to France

Former Presidential Management Staff (PMS) chief and former Manila Congresswoman Zenaida Angping
MANILA – President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has appointed former Manila congresswoman Maria Zenaida Angping as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the French Republic.
Angping’s appointment was transmitted to the Commission on Appointments for confirmation.
Angping previously served as the chief of the Presidential Management Staff of the Marcos administration.
The PMS currently has no chief after she asked asked for some “personal time off” to supposedly spend more time with her family in December last year.
Her request for time off came after her husband, former Manila congressman Harry Angping, has been tagged in a sexual harassment controversy in Thailand days before the President arrived there for the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Summit.
Angping is a former beauty queen and served as a staff member of then Ambassador Benjamin “Kokoy” Romualdez. (Jennifer T. Santos)
