SARAH GERONIMO with new song Cuore
Before that, Sarah released a brand-new track titled “Cuore.”The new song, according to Manila Bulletin, reunites Sarah G with the songwriting team of Thyro Alfaro and Yumi Lacsamana.
Geronimo, with Thyro and Yumi, are responsible for the hits “Ikot Ikot” and “KIlometro” from her “Expressions” and “Perfectly Imperfect” albums, respectively.
Also credited as songwriter for “Cuore” is the hit singer’s husband Matteo Guidicelli and the latter’s father Gianluca, who was consulted by the songwriters for the song’s Italian phrases.
“Cuore” means ‘heart’ in Italian.
The track itself is an energetic, electro dance pop sounding original that melds Tagalog and Italian words.
It was reported that “Cuore” is the second track released by Sarah in two weeks.
Last week she dropped “The Gift” on digital streaming platforms without fanfare.
Two weeks ago, she also put out the disco-inspired original “Dati Dati.”
Speculations are high that the Popstar Royalty is gearing up for a full length release soon.
In an Instagram post, the “Tala” singer announced that she is the latest ambassador for the “EQUAL Philippines” campaign of music streaming platform Spotify, which features Filipina musicians.
Spotify’s “EQUAL” campaign was launched during the International Women’s Day last year “to demonstrate our commitment to fostering equity for women in audio and celebrating their global contributions.”
Other Filipina artists featured in Spotify’s Times Square billboard for its “EQUAL” campaign include Maris Racal, Nadine Lustre, Julie Anne San Jose, KZ Tandingan, Clara Benin, and Janine Tenoso.
On Instagram, Sarah posted a bible verse and a letter addressing her family, her fans, her manager, and the general public.
It can be remembered that Sarah married Matteo in a surprise ceremony at the Shangri-la Global City in February 2020. Sarah’s mother, Mommy Divine, was reported to have arrived unexpectedly and said she did not know about the wedding.
In her letter, Sarah thanked her parents for raising her and her siblings.
“Sa aking mga magulang… walang hanggan po ang pasasalamat ko para sa buhay na ibinigay n’yo sa akin, sa aming magkakapatid. Lahat ng suporta at pag-aruga… ang inyong walang katumbas na pagmamahal, walang sino man ang pwedeng makapagpunan po nito,” she said.
“Mahal na mahal ko kayo… daddy at mama ko. Araw-araw ko po kayo nami-miss at naiisip.”
Sarah then thanked her fans and her manager for their support throughout the years. She then reminded everyone to show their love to their precious people, no matter where they are.
“Sa aking buong Geronimo family, mula noon hanggang ngayon, kayo ang inspirasyon ko sa buhay. Para sa inyo ang aking muling pagyakap sa musika at pagkakataon na muling makapagbigay ng saya at inspirasyon sa ibang tao,” she said.
“Ngunit bilang isang anak at kapatid, para sa akin, ang makasama kayo habang ako ay nabubuhay nang may pagmamahalan at kapayapaan sa ating mga puso ang tunay na ibig sabihin ng mga salitang tagumpay at kaligayan,” she added.
“Muli, maraming salamat para sa inyong pagmamahal at para sa inspirasyon. Mahal na mahal ko kayo.”
