Yes, the reunion of once real-life wife and husband Sharon Cuneta and Gabriel “Gabby” Concepcion is happening
But it is not in a movie as many had expected but in a concert.
On Instagram, actress and singer Sharon, once known as the Megastar, herself announced that their reunion concert, “Dear Heart,” is happening on October 27.
The former on- and off-screen partners will share the Mall of Asia Arena stage as they delight their fans anew.
Actor and singer Gabby, 58, who is Gabriel Arellano Concepcion in real life, likewise shared the news on his page.

Last month, according to GMA News report, Sharon and Gabby teased their fans by uploading a photo showing their silhouettes, as well as the text, “10. 27. 2023 SM MOA Arena” written on the bottom.
Sharon and Gabby first starred in the 1981 feature film “Dear Heart” and then became a top pairing on and off screen. They got married in a well publicized wedding with then President Ferdinand Marcos Sr. as one of the sponsors at the Manila Cathedral in 1984 and were legally separated in 1987 after they had a daughter, KC Concepcion.
. In 1993, Sharon and Gabby’s marriage was annulled.
In 2018, they thrilled millions of fans when they agreed to do a McDonald’s TV commercial, with the popular song, “Kumusta Ka” as the theme.
A year after, Concepcion and Cuneta guested in Gabay Guro’s tribute to the teachers also at the MOA Arena and they did a duet of “Come What May,” the theme of the couple’s first film together, Danny Zialcita’s “Dear Heart” (1981).
Concepcion’s last full-length film with Cuneta was Laurice Guillen’s “Tayong Dalawa” (1992), shown more than three decades ago.
In 2009, he also appeared in the final scene of Cuneta’s comedy starrer with Ai-Ai de las Alas, Wenn Deramas’ “BFF: Best Friends Forever.”
